Located
in Novato, California, our Uwaiysi tarighat follows in the footsteps
of Uwaiys-i-Gharan, a contemporary of the Prophet Mohammad, peace
and blessings upon him.
Under
the tutelage of our holy masters Seyedeh
Dr. Nahid Angha
and Shah
Nazar Seyed Dr. Ali Kianfar,
both of whom were students of Moulana Shah Maghsoud Sadegh Angha,
our tarighat is based entirely upon inner experience and the inner
teacher, as exemplified by the life of Uwaiys.
We
gather regularly at our Khanegah to study the principles of Tasawuf
(Sufism) and to learn practices that open the gateway to the inner
teacher and ultimately to the Divine.
Our
gatherings are open to those who sincerely seek an aware connection
to the Divine and who are eager to undergo the process of inner
purification necessary for that connection.
